It’s that time of the year… Salon Privé!

What is Salon Privé?

Salon Privé is a prestigious automotive event showcasing a combination of luxury cars, supercars, classic cars, and high-end brands. Sponsored by some of the UK’s most prestigious brands: BoodlesAviva Private ClientsPommery ChampagneEdmond De RothschildHottinger and Boeing Business Jets this is one of the hottest tickets in town for High Value Home Clients.

The event began back in 2006 by brothers Andrew and David Bagley. Out of a passion for cars, they created the event to showcase luxury cars, supercars, and classic cars in an exclusive and prestigious setting. Over the years, Salon Privé has grown into one of the most prominent automotive events in the UK, attracting car collectors, enthusiasts, industry professionals, and luxury brands. The event has become known for its emphasis on elegance, luxury, and the celebration of automotive design and innovation.

Held annually at Blenheim Palace, toward the end of August, the event typically features a variety of activities, including car displays, concours d’élégance (a competition of elegance for classic cars), luxury product exhibitions, and social gatherings. You can check out their daily events and activities on the Salon Privé website.

Should I attend Salon Privé?

Whether you should attend Salon Privé depends on your interests, preferences, and how you like to spend money. At £350 per person per day for a ticket (plus travel and expenses), it’s worth considering if this is the event for you. Here are some factors to consider:

  1. Interest in Luxury and Supercars: If you have a passion for luxury and high-performance vehicles, Salon Privé offers an opportunity to see a wide range of exclusive and rare cars up close.
  2.  Networking and Socializing: The event often attracts car enthusiasts, collectors, industry professionals, and high-net-worth individuals. If you’re interested in networking within the automotive and luxury sectors, attending could provide valuable connections.
  3.  Concours d’Élégance: If you appreciate classic cars and the artistry of automotive design, the concours d’élégance competition can be a highlight. It showcases meticulously restored and maintained classic cars that compete for awards based on their elegance and historical significance.
  4.  Exclusivity and Atmosphere: Salon Privé aims to create an exclusive and luxurious atmosphere, offering a premium experience for attendees. If you enjoy lavish settings, high-end events, and a Boodles Best Hat competition, this might be appealing to you.

Ultimately, the decision to attend Salon Privé or any other event depends on your personal interests, budget, and availability. If you have a strong interest in luxury cars, networking, and experiencing an upscale automotive event, Salon Privé could be a great opportunity.

I started working in the insurance industry in 2004. Four years later, I left to focus on theological studies, working as a youth worker and then as a ministry director in Seattle, USA. When returning to the UK, I had an opportunity to work for the late Andrew Marchington. I joined his firm as a sales advisor when it had around ten staff members. Within three years, I was Head of Ops with a staff team of over 30 people. After a chance encounter in 2019 with Rachel Living and Will Cooper, I co-started Stanhope to build a high-value home, luxury watch, and jewellery broker synonymous with trust. I love being with Donna, my wife, and four kids when not working, cramming in the odd row, or run when I can. I am fortunate to love what I do and consider it a blessing to grow the Stanhope brand.
