Jewellery insurance provides valuable protection for your precious items, precious because of the significant subjective value as well as the financial value, and protecting your jewellery shouldn’t feel like an arduous task, it should be a joyful one!

Here are six reasons why you should consider loving jewellery insurance like we do:

  1. Financial protection: jewellery can be expensive, and losing or damaging it can result in a significant financial loss (found out what to do when losing an engagement or wedding ring). Jewellery insurance helps cover the cost of repair, replacement, or reimbursement if your items are lost, stolen, or damaged.
  2. Peace of mind: Knowing that your cherished jewellery is insured can give you peace of mind. You can wear your jewellery without constant worry about what might happen to it, whether you’re wearing it daily or keeping it in a safe place you can have daily peace of mind.
  3. Comprehensive coverage: Jewellery insurance typically provides coverage against a wide range of risks, including theft, loss, accidental damage, and even mysterious disappearance. This comprehensive coverage ensures that you are protected in various situations. But note, some insurance products might exclude a major peril in the policy wording so be weary of ‘cheaper’ products!
  4. Tailored policies: Jewellery insurance allows you to adapt your cover based on your specific needs. You can insure individual pieces, sets, or even entire collections, ensuring that you have the right amount of coverage for your jewellery.
  5. Worldwide protection: Many jewellery insurance policies provide coverage worldwide, allowing you to wear your jewellery with confidence wherever you go, whether it’s at home or during your travels.
  6. Quick and easy claims process: Reputable jewellery insurance providers offer a streamlined claims process, ensuring that you can get your items repaired or replaced promptly in the event of a loss. An efficient claims handling can help you get back to enjoying your jewellery or restoring a memory as soon as possible.

Remember to review the terms, conditions, and coverage limits of any jewellery insurance policy carefully to ensure it aligns with your needs and preferences.

I started working in the insurance industry in 2004. Four years later, I left to focus on theological studies, working as a youth worker and then as a ministry director in Seattle, USA. When returning to the UK, I had an opportunity to work for the late Andrew Marchington. I joined his firm as a sales advisor when it had around ten staff members. Within three years, I was Head of Ops with a staff team of over 30 people. After a chance encounter in 2019 with Rachel Living and Will Cooper, I co-started Stanhope to build a high-value home, luxury watch, and jewellery broker synonymous with trust. I love being with Donna, my wife, and four kids when not working, cramming in the odd row, or run when I can. I am fortunate to love what I do and consider it a blessing to grow the Stanhope brand.
