A well-selected piece of jewellery can enhance life’s brightest moments, providing vibrancy to life’s most precious memories. Jewellery uniquely holds subjective and objective value since it has the magic to unlock positive life experiences.

From the return of platinum and yellow gold to stately Renaissance pieces, use our forecasted jewellery trends of 2025 to help shape future purchases and memories. Perhaps this guide might help you with selecting a special the gift this Christmas.

Good as gold

Neglected somewhat in favour of gold variations like rose and white gold, yellow gold is returning to imbue 2025 with its warm hue. Tell your story by proudly wearing that yellow gold family heirloom or sentimental locket. But, while the return to classic yellow gold might be marked by tradition, don’t be afraid to wear it in a way that’s uniquely you, whether with a statement watch or a dainty
minimalist chain that lets the gold do the talking.

The lustre of nature

Nature will be king once again in 2025. Summon the elements into your outfit with a teardrop pendant or earthy mood ring and draw inspiration from the meadows with a delicate gold leaf choker or a daisy chain cast from icy platinum. More unusual nature-inspired pieces are also expected to make a comeback, making animal, flower and insect portraits the stars of the gold and silver-enrobed show. While nature’s taking centre stage, don’t be afraid to add your own flair – think floral, dark, vintage, or minimalist if you need inspiration.

Going platinum

Forget silver and white gold – platinum is returning to bestow brilliance on necks, wrists and fingers around the country. A pale, bright silver, this forever-recyclable metal has infinite possibilities for your look. Striking even when minimal, platinum is a great option if you like to dress down rather than up, but still want to feel put together. Complete your all-black outfit with a platinum chain for a
striking affair of contrasts, or make a flashier statement with a standout platinum cuff or chunky watch.

Shapeshift

There’s no such thing as the perfect size or shape as squares, pears and circles are ushered into 2025 with open arms. Consider geometry-inspired jewellery for its chameleon-like quality to be dressed up or down. Whether you prefer pleasing symmetrical forms or intriguing abstract pieces, geometrical shapes in jewellery can add structure to even the most casual of outfits. Or, for a bolder getup, consider layering a solitaire pendant with an eye-catching asymmetrical chain.

The stately allure of demi parure

Conjure up your most regal self with demi parure. A parure refers to a full ‘suite’ of matching jewellery while demi parure is an incomplete set of at least two pieces – gems and jewels worn in this fashion were all the rage at the end of the 17th century, and now demi parure looks set to grace the new year with its stateliness once more. Take 2025 by the horns with a choker and earring set fit for royalty, or show your stateliness more demurely with a gem-less demi parure in platinum.

I started working in the insurance industry in 2004. Four years later, I left to focus on theological studies, working as a youth worker and then as a ministry director in Seattle, USA. When returning to the UK, I had an opportunity to work for the late Andrew Marchington. I joined his firm as a sales advisor when it had around ten staff members. Within three years, I was Head of Ops with a staff team of over 30 people. After a chance encounter in 2019 with Rachel Living and Will Cooper, I co-started Stanhope to build a high-value home, luxury watch, and jewellery broker synonymous with trust. I love being with Donna, my wife, and four kids when not working, cramming in the odd row, or run when I can. I am fortunate to love what I do and consider it a blessing to grow the Stanhope brand.
